Overview of SPPU BE 2019 Pattern Summer 2026 Exams
SPPU conducts end-semester examinations for the 2019 course pattern under Examination Circular No. 249 of 2026. This circular covers BE Semester VII and Semester VIII examinations across all major engineering branches for the Summer Session 2026. This follows the recently declared SPPU Winter 2025 Results.
The exams are being held under the Faculty of Science and Technology (Engineering) and cover all major branches including Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, AI and Data Science, Electronics and Computer, Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation, and several others.
Note: Practical Exams
Currently, external practical examinations are scheduled from 5 May to 20 May 2026 for all branches and years.
When Do the Exams Start and End?
The BE end-semester exams for the 2019 Pattern begin on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, and run through Thursday, 11 June 2026, for most branches. The general exam timing is 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM for the majority of papers.
- Semester VII Honors/Minors: Monday, 15 June 2026
- Semester VIII Honors/Minors: Saturday, 13 June 2026
Branch-Wise Exam Schedule Highlights
Computer Engineering
Sem VII: Starts with Design and Analysis of Algorithms (20 May), followed by Machine Learning (22 May) and Blockchain Technology (25 May). Electives on 27 May and 30 May.
Sem VIII: High Performance Computing (2 June) and Deep Learning (4 June).
Mechanical Engineering
Sem VII: HVAC and Refrigeration (20 May), Dynamics of Machinery (22 May), and Turbomachinery (25 May - 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM).
Sem VIII: Computer Integrated Manufacturing (2 June) and Energy Engineering (4 June).
Information Technology
Sem VII: Information and Storage Retrieval (20 May), Software Project Management (22 May), and Deep Learning (25 May).
Sem VIII: Distributed Systems (2 June).
Civil Engineering
Sem VII: Foundation Engineering (20 May) and Transportation Engineering (22 May). Electives may run until 5:00 PM.
Sem VIII: Dams and Hydraulic Structures (2 June).
AI and Machine Learning
Sem VII: Information Retrieval in AI (20 May), Cloud Computing (22 May), and Deep Learning for AI (25 May).
Sem VIII: Natural Language Processing (2 June).
Important Timing Notes
Most papers run from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Pay attention to exceptions:
- Turbomachinery (Mech): 25 May, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Industrial Engineering (Auto): 25 May, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Artificial Neural Networks (A&R): 25 May, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Design of Transmission Elements (Mech Sandwich): 2 June, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Civil Electives (27 & 30 May): Up to 5:00 PM
What About In-Semester Exams?
For Third Year Engineering (TE, Semester V and VI) students under the 2019 Pattern, in-semester examinations were conducted from approximately 9 to 12 March 2026. Those have already concluded for most students.
Exam Form Deadlines
Online exam forms for various 2019 Pattern courses have a deadline of 9 May 2026 through the SPPU exam form portal. For BE students, confirm the status with your college exam coordinator immediately.
General Instructions for Candidates
- Report to the center at least 30 minutes before the start time.
- No material considered malpractice is allowed.
- Bring your own drawing instruments, stencils, and non-programmable calculators.
- Electronic devices including mobile phones are strictly prohibited.
- Check the notice board at your exam center for any last-minute changes.
