The Aaple Sarkar DBT Portal (Direct Benefit Transfer) is a unique initiative by the Government of Maharashtra. It serves as a unified platform for citizens to avail benefits from various state schemes directly into their bank accounts. This guide covers everything from Registration to Submitting a Scholarship Application.

📝 Step 1: Online Registration

You can register on the portal using two methods: With Aadhaar (Recommended) or Without Aadhaar.

Method A: Registration using Aadhaar (Fastest)

  1. Go to aaplesarkardbt.gov.in and click on New Applicant Registration.
  2. Select "Yes" for "Do you have Aadhaar Card?".
  3. Choose Authentication Type: OTP (if mobile is linked) or Biometric.
  4. Enter Aadhaar Number and verify the OTP received on your mobile.
  5. Your personal details (Name, DOB, Address) will be auto-fetched from UIDAI.
  6. Create a Username (alphabets & numbers, 4-15 chars) and Password (8-20 chars, 1 Upper, 1 Lower, 1 Number, 1 Special Char).
  7. Verify your Email ID and Mobile Number via OTP.
  8. Enter CAPTCHA and click Register.

Method B: Registration without Aadhaar

  1. Select "No" for Aadhaar Question.
  2. Manually enter all personal details: Name, DOB, Address, District, Taluka, Pin Code.
  3. Upload Documents: You must upload Identity Proof, Address Proof, Birth Proof, and Relationship Proof (Files < 256KB).
  4. Upload your Photograph and Signature.
  5. Verify Contact Details and create credentials to finish registration.

Note: Non-Aadhaar users must eventually link their Aadhaar to receive benefits.

👤 Step 3: Completing the Profile

Before applying for any scheme, your profile must be 100% complete. The profile is divided into 6 sections:

1. Personal Information

Name, Caste, Income, Domicile details. Upload Caste/Income certificates if applicable.

2. Address Details

Permanent and Correspondence address. Ensure pin codes are correct.

3. Other Information

Parent's/Guardian's occupation and salary details.

4. Current Course

Details of the course you are currently studying (College, Branch, Year).

5. Past Qualification

SSC, HSC, or Diploma marks. Upload marksheets. Mention any Gaps.

6. Hostel Details

Select if you are a Day Scholar or Hosteller. Hostellers get extra allowance.

🎓 Step 4: Applying for Schemes

  1. Once the profile is 100% complete, click on Suggested Eligible Schemes.
  2. The system will show schemes you qualify for based on Caste, Income, and Course.
  3. Select the scheme (e.g., Post Matric Scholarship) and click Apply.
  4. If applying for multiple schemes, set your Preference (Priority 1, 2, etc.).
  5. Click Submit. Your application will move to "Under Scrutiny".

Q: Can I edit my application after submission?

A: No, you cannot edit unless the scrutiny officer sends the application back to you for "Minor Changes". Check your login for "Sent Back" status.

Q: Why was my application rejected?

A: Common reasons include incorrect income certificate, mismatch in names, or wrong documents uploaded. Check the "Rejected Applications" tab for remarks.
